Brought over from the summer forum....NOAA radio outages today but we're not expecting any hazardous weather for the foreseeable future.

...NOAA WEATHER RADIO OUTAGE IN BURAS LOUISIANA ON WEDNESDAY...
NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards station WXL-41 in Buras, Louisiana
on a frequency of 162.475 MHz, will be undergoing preventive
maintenance between the hours of 9 am and 1 pm CDT on Wednesday,
September 25th, 2019. The broadcast is likely to be interrupted
for some or much of that time.
Normally the NOAA Weather Radio Weekly test is run on Wednesdays
shortly after 11 am. Due to the maintenance outage, the test for
the Buras transmitter will be run the following day, Thursday,
September 12th, at the same time.
During the outage, persons across the Buras listening area will
need to tune to commercial radio or TV outlets for the latest
weather information, or monitor the New Orleans broadcast on
162.550 MHz.
We apologize for any inconvenience this outage may cause.
